Where is the JCB Sportive held?

The event will start and finish from the JCB HQ in Staffordshire, the postcode for SATNAV is ST14 5JR. Registration and free parking will be located here.

When is the Sportive?

Sunday 17th September from 07:30. The first wave of riders will set off from 08:00.

What distances are involved?

50km, 70km & 100km

50KM = £35
70KM = £40
100KM = £45

How do I enter?

Entry to the Sportive is online only. Please click here.

Can I register on the day?

On the day registration is available at an increased price, therefore we recommend booking beforehand.

How does the registration process work?

Registration will open at 07:30, the first wave of riders will depart at 08:00 with 5-to-10-minute intervals thereafter. You will be given your number and timing chip at this point.

Can spectators watch the sportive?

Of course! The cycle course has a road closure on Stubwood Lane as well as at the 3 feed stations. However, please be mindful of parking and residents. If not, spend your time in our fully stocked Event Village to keep entertained whilst awaiting the riders return

What is the course like?

All routes are on the road and offer challenging sections. All routes will offer a climbing section which each rider will be given a recorded time for.

Will there be refreshments at the start and post-event?

We have a variety of suppliers booked for our Event Village; Hugo’s coffee van, Project D, The England Indian, Dalton’s Dairy, Mercia Wood Fired Pizza and Uttoxeter Brewing Company. Some being open from 07:00 and others opening later in the day for family, friends, and supporters.

Minimum age requirements

Any under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult.

What level of medical support can I expect on the day?

If the organiser feels that you are not in a fit and healthy condition to finish the event then they will inform you and their decision will be final.

Is there a relay option?

Unfortunately not, this is an individual rider event.

What equipment is advised?

A suitable road worthy bike must be used. Riders must wear a bike helmet.

Are there prizes?

All participants will receive a unique custom-made metal medal, manufactured on site from recycled steel from the JCB factory.

What is the cancelation policy?

Refunds:

We operate a no refunds policy as initially stated at the point of entry. We do however reserve the right to offer future switches or deferrals if the event cannot take place for reasons out of the control of race management including but not limited to flooding, severe weather or denial of access to the original course. Race management also reserve the right to postpone the event until a later date and all entries will be carried forward to this date and refunds may not be offered under these circumstances. Event cancellation due to reasons such as Coronavirus (COVID 19) or other such pandemic, public health, local authority travel and movement restrictions and bans of any kind etc. are beyond our control and no refund will be given in such circumstances.
